Jubilee Music in Korea Heads Into Final Stage of OPENMIKE Season 2

Jubilee Music in Korea is currently preparing the final stage of OPENMIKE Season 2, which is scheduled on April 11, 2015.

Nakjoo Kwon, who is a consultant, producer, and professional drummer, will showcase a fascinating drum performance along with two other drummers. A rookie of Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), Younghwan Na is preparing a special performance with musicians from OPENMIKE Season 1. Jeongsuk Jeon who was selected as the winner of Season 1 is planning to give a special performance.

In addition, Jeongah Kim, one of the judges of OPENMIKE Season 2, is well known as a vocal trainer and vocalist and she is reputated in the area of CCM and popular music.

"I was invited to be a judge for CCM rookie, Gospel Stars and a couple of other CCM auditions before I joined OPENMIKE. However, I refused to attend all of them. This was because the auditions were not to make CCM [develop] but to me it all seemed like a one-time contest. Even if a talented person was selected in the audition, there was no plan for them," Kim shared, reflecting on her participation in OPENMIKE Season 2.

She added, "For OPENMIKE, the focus was set to select talented people rather than only an event, and I think that OPENMIKE's level is different than other auditions because there is a plan and vision for the selected musicians." 

The final stage is scheduled to take place on April 11 at 6:30 p.m., at the Jubilee Center in Seoul. The final stage is an open audition which anyone is welcome to watch.
