"Reflections of the Season of Lent" Ester Concert

Mar 25, 2014

Jubilee Chorus and Nyack College Chorale (NYC) cordially invite you to attend our performance of the Son of God Mass composed by James Whitbourn, in dedication of Easter; with a special appearance by The Christian Folk Ensemble. The main choral movements of Whitbourn's work will include:

Kyrie (Lord Have Mercy)Gloria (Glory to God in the Highest)Credo (I believe in God)Sanctus (Holy, Holy, Holy)Benedictus (Blessed Is He Who Comes)Agnus Dei (Lamb of God)

The performance promises to be highly spiritual, as we will reflect on Christ's life, suffering, sacrifice, death, and resurrection. Each movement flows in an unbroken sequence and evokes haunting and at times melancholy emotions, as we are introduced to the angelic sound of the soprano saxophone.Other pieces in the performance will include Jesus Has Lifted the Load, Lift Thine Eyes, and Total Praise.

WHEN: Friday, April 11, 2014 at 7:30 PM (Free Admission)WHERE: Elohim, Christian Church8747 111 StreetRichmond Hill, NY 11418

We look forward to your attendance for this night of reflection and praise.
