NYC Rescue Mission - Christmas Event, which was our last event for the 2014 calendar year, ended in abundant grace.

The Jubilee Chorus sang Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day, and selections from Handel's Messiah (And the Glory of the Lord and O Thou that Tellest Good Tidings to Zion), as well as O Holy Night. They also sang Joy to the world and Silent Night together with the homeless men and women who were in attendance. Jubilee Chorus member, Janelle Simmons, delivered a word of hope on what the promise of Christmas can mean to us today.

It was evident that the event touched the hearts of those who were in attendance. The Volunteer Manager at NYC Rescue Mission, David Knoche, opened and closed the event with prayers of gratitude for The Jubilee Chorus' ministry as the Christmas season approaches. The Jubilee Chorus conductor, Elizabeth Swanson, said "We never know when or how God is going to move. We acknowledge that He speaks through Word and song... through people. It gives each member of The Jubilee Chorus great fulfillment to be entrusted with this opportunity to be vessels of the holy spirit in this special way."
